1. Your teeth are securely fixed in place, just like natural teeth
Dental implants are titanium screws that are carefully inserted into your jawbone to replace your natural tooth roots.
Smile in a Day is suitable for restoring full jaws (arches), multiple or single teeth.
As your new teeth are securely fixed onto the dental implants, they stay in place, night and day, just like natural teeth.
No more loose or gappy teeth, no more slipping dentures.
2. Your teeth and smile are restored in one day
TDC Smile in a Day is an advanced, less invasive dental implant treatment with much reduced treatment time – and only one surgical visit.
Unlike traditional implant methods that can take many months and multiple surgical procedures (e.g. extractions, bone graft surgery), TDC Smile in a Day is a same day “immediate loading” dental implant technique where your implants and a full set of fixed teeth can be placed on the same day.
Your teeth and a beautiful smile are restored in a matter of hours.
These first bespoke teeth are not removable by the patient. They remain in place until we exchange them for your final, long-lasting set about three months later.
3. You’ll be treated by TDC’s specialist-led team – where quality matters
As with any surgical procedure, tooth replacement treatment should be carefully researched and it is important to choose the right dental team for you. We suggest asking your dental implant dentist questions so you can be re-assured that they have the skill and experience to meet your needs and requirements.
At TDC, we offer specialist-led clinical care using state-of-the art implant technology, techniques and equipment, over 25 years’ experience placing dental implants, award-winning patient care and consistently outstanding results.
We know that using the highest quality dental implants and materials gives the best short and long-term results. We never compromise on quality to cut costs.
These factors combine to give true peace of mind from start to finish.
So is there any difference between a general dentist and a specialist, especially when considering tooth replacement?
Any UK qualified dentist can legally place dental implants, regardless of how recently or often they perform the procedure.
However, periodontists are dentists that specialise in the area of dentistry that is to do with the roots and bone surrounding the teeth, and the placement of dental implants. They are therefore essentially experts in this field, with a proven track record of actual dental implant surgery.
Our Lead Surgeon, Dr Michael Zybutz, is a registered General Dental Council Specialist Periodontist with over 25 years’ experience placing dental implants.
He is the only specialist dentist in the UK who is accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD).
4. It’s a virtually pain-free procedure – ideal for nervous patients
Patients are often amazed that they experience little or no pain during or after their Smile in a Day dental implant procedure.
Most opt for conscious sedation, so they are awake during implant placement surgery but feel totally relaxed and remember little about the procedure. Any minor discomfort is treatable with medication such as ibuprofen and paracetamol.
5. You’ll be able to eat, taste and enjoy any food you want again
Your new teeth function just like natural teeth – unlike eating with dentures which can move in your mouth, your ability to bite and chew normally is restored.
We advise taking it slowly whilst you get used to your new teeth – and once you have your final set placed, delicious steaks, juicy apples and crunchy bread can all be enjoyed without a second thought.
As your palate is not covered by a denture, people who previously wore false teeth are able to rediscover the taste of their food.
6. You’ll have a smile you love, confidence is restored
We work very closely with you to get the aesthetics and appearance of your smile exactly how you want it – the perfect tooth shape, size and colour.
As your first bespoke replacement teeth are placed on the day of surgery (Smile Restoration Day), you leave with a natural looking smile you can really be proud of.
Many of our patients tell us their confidence and self-esteem are instantly regained.
Plus, the structure of your face is restored, making you look younger.
